FOODTURE BARCELONA invited us to participate in SPOONS, a virtual exhibition that took place in the Summit of Innovation in Food Design, Food Tech and Sustainability born in Barcelona. The participants were asked to do a speculative exercise that —starting with the spoon as an object and from a more critical, fictional and functional perspective—, would help rethink the future of our eating habits.
We focused our research on giving visibility to the indigenous people and value their ability to adapt to the feeding and survival changing conditions in their environment. This is the idea we speculate with in a future in which this people take on the responsibility to find alternative feeding in a world that nothing is as it used to be.
Under "LA CUCHARA INDÍGENA" concept we’ve presented an object-story, a fiction in the literary subgenre cli-fi (Climate-fiction) willing to put forth a reflection and trigger a change in the perception of the indigenous communities.
